Having Needs

Sam and Linda do an exercise of saying needs and trying to stay connected. Linda succeeds by the end.

**Meaningful section of this group – this will be central to Maria in the documentary** First Maria & Linda talk about what to do together, which is painful to watch since they are forcefully giving to each other. Then they have to go back and forth saying a need and they both struggle to come up with any. They each express wanting their boyfriends to see them, only to realize they can’t see themselves. Jesse realizes that Maria’s blankness is like his (he wells up). At the end, Maria says she wants to leave and Steve asks her to stay.
