The Four Decision Tree Processes: Deciding on Needs

Okay. So you’ve identified who has needs—and you’ve determined what kind of needs you’re dealing with. Now it’s time to decide on an action plan. What are you going to do about meeting these needs? It turns out that human beings use only four styles of decision making to resolve their needs. Here by “styles,” I’m referring to the four decision-making processes with which all decisions are made—the Bluntness process, the Correction process, the Precision process, and the Digression process. Indeed, every decision you make employs one or more of these four processes. Moreover, while we each employ all four processes at times, we favor only one. Yet another indication that the four wise men are at work.
